MPS to MD (2 + 4)-Combined Programs

Program Description: The MPS to MD (2+4)-Combined Programs at California Northstate University (CNU) is developed to provide education and training opportunities for students who are ultimately interested in pursuing a career as medical doctor through a six-year combined program in drug development and pharmaceutical sciences followed by progression to CNU college of Medicine. The goal of the six - year combined program is to train aspiring physicians as future “Clinician Scientists”. 

Why enroll in MPS to MD (2+4)-Combined Programs: In order to matriculate in CNU college of medicine, students should successfully finish two – year MPS education  Achieve minimum GPA of 3.5 in the MPS program, score 508 or higher in MCAT Submit the AMCAS application and the secondary application, and participate in CNU College of Medicine admission interviewContinue MPS-MD combined programs and matriculate in CNU College of Medicine four-year MD program.

MPS to MD (2+4)-Combined Program Requirements:

  • B.S. degree in life sciences/health sciences with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.2
  • At least two recommendation letters
  • Successfully pass personal interview with admissions committee from CNU-MPS program and CNU-college of Medicine
